Not just for kids
BMX is not only a sport for boys and dads. Girls and mum's can race and enjoy competition in their own age groups with other females.
Whether you’re a parent or not, BMX is one big family where great friendships can be made and the competition structure can give the community the opportunity to visit many new places.

Transponders
Although Transponders aren't needed for casual riding, BMX racing can be incredibly fast paced, so finishes can be extremely close.
A transponder system measures riders to the millisecond and instantly determines the undisputed winner and placings. The transponder system can also be set up in practice mode, which allows us to run the system during practice sessions. Practice results will be uploaded to mylaps.com automatically. With a personal transponder, riders can check, analyse and share their performance data on their personal online account. As the Mini Wheeler and Sprocket age groups are non-competitive these riders do not require transponders. Anyone racing in the Junior, Senior or Open groups will need a transponder for any of the scored race meets. If you are unsure if your rider requires a transponder please ask. Big Rivers is selling Transponders for $50 (which includes a one year subscription). To order, please see Registration or send an email to: bigriversbmx@yahoo.com.au and advise how many transponders you will require; payment can be made at the Registrar Hut on race nights and training nights. |
